Struggle for Liberty: Revolutionary Manhattan
Learn about the American struggle for freedom from colonial times to the Civil War. We will visit Federal Hall where the Peter Zengar trial established freedom of the press and the First United States Congress drafted the Bill of Rights, City Hall Park where the Declaration of Independence was read by George Washington, and Battery Park where the British flag was torn down and replaced by the American flag.

Thomas Jefferson's New York
Thomas Jefferson considered New York the "cloaca of the universe." Perhaps that is why he made a deal with Alexander Hamilton to move our nation's capital out of New York City to Washington. This tour will show the positive and negative aspects of the Big Apple when he lived there.

We will visit sites, statues and memorials associated with Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Emma Goldman Marquise de Lafayette, Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, Peter Cooper, Abe Cahan, Mark Twain, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Emma Lazarus.

Meeting Place:In front of the Lincoln Statue in Union Square Park. Cross Streets are Broadway and 17th Street
